Described as ‘rising, rousing indie rock’ by the Clash Magazine, and chosen for BBC Scotland’s ‘Track of the Week’ twice in quick succession, Glasgow’s Cloud House has also been crowned winners of the International Rootstock Festival, sold out King Tut’s in 2023, and was selected as “one to watch in 2024” by Jim Gellatly.
Building on these exciting achievements, the 5-piece indie rock band aims to keep the momentum going in 2024 with the release of ‘Broken‘, out now!

Their uplifting new single ‘Steal This Life’ came out on Friday 13th of September, following the success of ‘Broken’ which earned airplay on Radio X and drew comparisons to Glasgow greats like Twin Atlantic and Fatherson from Northern Exposure Magazine.
While ‘Broken’ reflects on the bittersweet end of a friendship, ‘Steal This Life’ explores the feeling of unexpectedly stumbling upon love. It’s about that pivotal moment when we recognise our soulmate and feel driven to do whatever it takes to keep them close.
‘Steal This Life’ exudes a lively and fun vibe, perfectly mirroring the joyful energy of finding love.

2024 was a huge year for Cloud House. After selling out their second UK tour, including two nights in a row in their home city of Glasgow and a show in London, Cloud House gained the support of Radio X’s presenter John Kennedy, attracted national press attention, and became the first band to be selected for BBC Scotland’s track of the week three times.
As a belting rock song that explores feeling bereft in modern times, ‘Golden Hour’ retains all the hallmarks of a typical Cloud House song – catchy hooks, immaculate vocals, atmospheric synth textures and a massive guitar solo, driven by locked-in drums and bass guitar. It came out on the 28th of February 2025.
